Citizenship by investment

A second citizenship, carefully chosen.

Established programmes that grant citizenship in return for a qualifying contribution or investment, following extensive due diligence by the issuing government.

An overview

A decision for generations.

Citizenship by investment allows eligible applicants and their families to acquire citizenship through a qualifying contribution or investment, set out in the law of the issuing country.

Clients consider a second citizenship for many reasons: greater ease of travel, a plan B for their family, or a base for international business. Because citizenship is a lifelong status, we look carefully at your home country’s rules on dual nationality, the programme’s due diligence standards and the obligations that come with it.

Weighing a second citizenship?

Due diligence, family eligibility and timelines differ widely between programmes. We are happy to talk them through with you, confidentially.

Before you decide

Questions we ask every client.

i.

Dual nationality

Does your current country allow you to hold another citizenship, and on what conditions?

ii.

Travel access

Visa-free access is decided by other states and can change. We review the current position for the destinations that matter to you.

iii.

Due diligence

Every applicant is vetted by the issuing government. We review your source of funds and history before you apply.

iv.

Long-term obligations

Citizenship can carry tax, reporting and other obligations. We recommend independent tax advice before you commit.
